Is the Windows 10 FREE upgrade thing my computer keeps displaying real? What's the catch?

Just went on my usual walk and got honked at by 2 utes, a truck and a van. One guy even did a loop to have a second go. All were obviously labourers or something similar (orange vests etc.)
Interestingly all just smiled and waved at me. No "hey baby". No wolf whistles. Maybe the feminist message is slowly percolating down to more guys? Or am I too optimistic?
It's everywhere. I assume there are hidden nasty links in it, even though it looks like Russian maths honework and library books.

Another thing that has taken my spare time of late is Netflix and Presto, both of which I am getting free right now (ZOMG! for a few weeks more anyway). Ahhhhh! So much to watch! It's awesome!
Back in the day I was addicted to both The X Files (probably my first and most-loved TV show - I never missed an episode in all 10 seasons, I kid you not...) and Stargate SG1. Both of which I watched long before I knew what a "fandom" was. I watched them religiously. Just ask my mum, she had to tape them if I was out. LOL!
Sooo, I've been doing a bit of re-watching on Presto and Netflix and I suddenly thought... Fandom! Specifically X Files Fandom. Was there one? Is there good fan fiction out there? If anyone can point me to some good h/c for Mulder and Scully, I would seriously love you right now. I'm kinda excited by the concept and hoping there's all this awesomeness out there I've never thought to go look for. (Also in need of a good Mulder and Scully icon.)
Anyhoo. I need to catch up on all the current shows. But the rewatching caught me in a vortex of XFiles and Stargate love, so I haven't much fandomy to chat about. You still all rock!
OOh also saw the latest Avengers movie. How did you all feel about it? Especially the whole Hawkeye thing, which I found a little... weird (trying not to be spoilery here). Lemme know. I'm so very curious!

Hey guys, I'm trying to catch up on a few shows. Supernatural, Constantine, The Flash, Arrow, Marvel's Agent Carter and and Marvel's Agents of Shield. Sorry I haven't been online to chat.
*Please tell me Crowley's mother gets it eventually. I really can't stand her and not in a good (she's evil) way. She just irritates me and keep wanting to turn it off when their scenes are on...when I assume it's meant to be funny. I'd be watching so much faster without her, because it's fine otherwise. I will catch up guys. Sorry I'm so slow. I haven't been chatting or whatever because I'm so behind.
*Loving Constantine. I'm down to the last two episodes for the season. Please tell me there will be more. Love love love. Such a cheeky bugger!
*The Flash. Eeeee. I'm only 2 episodes behind now and I cannot believe it! Time travel madness to come I assume. Can't wait.

I just watched Deliver us from Evil. It was a reasonable supernatural horror thriller. No plot twists really, just an account of something that happened to a dude with some reasonably creepy shit going down. But it was well done.
The leads (Eric Bana, Édgar Ramírez) are both so very smoking hot in this... I don't have slash goggles at all, but those two can be in any movie together they like and I'll watch it. Mmmm. (I would also totally read any fan fiction - slash or gen - carrying on from where the film left off. Recs welcome.) In conclusion, I liked it. Will likely buy the DVD for future ogling (Why yes I am shallow.), or for when I'm in the mood for a supernatural thriller.

So some thoughts on TV shows and tshirts and stuff. This post could be a bit spoilery, but I am being deliberately vague for the most part.
* I love Harrison Wells. Besides Barry, Dr Wells and Joe are my favourite characters on The Flash, so I'm really hoping the latest episode doesn't indicate that Wells will no longer be a main character. That'd make me so sad.
* I haven't made it past 10.4 of Supernatural yet. I've just been bored. *sigh* Sorry SPN fandom. I'll likely catch up sometime over Christmas. Just not feeling it.
* I got my Stephen Amell F*CK Cancer T-shirt. Awesome!
* I've also ordered a S.T.A.R. Laboratories tank top. I'm hoping it'll be one of those cool fan references that no one will get unless they are also a geek! I get confused by online sizing, so it's always a gamble buying online, but here's hoping.
* How amazing was that Arrow cliffhanger?! Eeeeee! And rumour is that Arsenal gets lots of air time for the next few episodes while they deal with that, so that makes me happy too!
* Episode 209 of Reign killed me. I can't believe they went there. At least they're dealing with it maturely and Mary is not okay. :(
* I've only watched the first 2 episodes, but Constantine is pretty cool!
* Last night on Ink Master they tattooed peoples eyelids. EYELIDS! WTF? (Yes, we're likely very behind on that show! I'm watching it on late night telly.)

I find it incredibly interesting that Kindle is basically paving the way for completely legal and legitimate fan fiction. I've already downloaded a few of the stories, but not read them as yet. Some of the royalties go to the copyright holder of the original work.

Are any of you into comics? I'm looking at buying some, but it's like jumping into a giant pool with no end in sight. As someone who has never read comics, it's hard to know where to start.
That said I've found a few "New 52" ones that look pretty kick-ass and I'm wondering if there is a good site for ordering them. One that ships to Australia. Otherwise I can get my local Impact Comics store to order me stuff. They were very enthusiastic today. I don't think they see many confused 30-somethings randomly asking questions about everything. :P
