So they've announced the new companion on Doctor Who.

I really want one of these: Doctor Who Personalise Your Sonic Screwdriver Set. It's got a very steam punk extra bit that makes it look seriously cool! Might have to splurge at some point. :)

greenpear pointed this out and it cracked me up. I so needed that, so maybe it'll amuse some of you too!

You've all seen the stalking cat on youtube, well now it's got an added Doctor Who twist and it's brilliant! :D

Accomplice was awesome, by the way. So much fun tromping all over London following the clues.

Not my favourite DW Christmas Special, but it was still very enjoyable.

I bought me an Adipose Stress Toy today! It is so darn cute and squishy. \o/



And my mum was asking what my Oma should get me this year, so I put in my order for a DW calendar. The 2011 one has Eleven on it, which just seems right. ;)

I've found some brilliant vids lately! Let me tell you about them.

Run with me by chaila43 [Doctor Who: River, River/Doctor]
Rec: Beautiful! This feels like the story that DW has tried to tell about River, but somehow never has. It's so elegantly and subtly put together, like you can feel the distance and complexity in a relationship spanning space and time and lived out of order. I can't commend this vid enough and I urge you to watch it whether you are a fan of River or not. It really puts her in a whole new light. :)

Boom Boom Pow by hollywoodgrrl [Fringe: general series]
Rec: I always love HG's sense of in-clip movement combined with spot-on timing, so I can't resist this one. Clip-choice ftw! This would be a fabulous recruitment vid for anyone new to the fandom.

Toxic by lilacbranch [Sherlock: Sherlock/Moriarty]
Rec: I just keep watching it. I love the frenetic pace, the fabulous clip choices (violin ftw!), the drugged out Sherlock... Oh and I now grin whenever I hear this Britney Spears song, which is... new. Really, I am quite smitten with this vid, I think it's hitting a few kinks somewhere along the way.

U. R. A. Fever by kiki_miserychic [Fringe: Olivia]
Rec: I am in love with this vid. The editing is flawless. Not just fast, but snappy - perfectly fitted to the music and the clip choices are anything but accidental - so precise. And BAMF!Olivia is just... I have no words. I love the use of the sit-ups toward the end and when it breaks into "WE are a fever" I think I made small squeaky dolphin noises on first watching this. Brilliant stuff. God it's good. Go watch it.

Split up six ways by beccatoria [Fringe: Walter]
Rec: Amazing! I don't think I've come across a Walter vid before, let alone one that actually tells his story so damn well. Just beautiful!

Blind by hay1ock [Sherlock: Sherlock/John]
Rec: Slowing down the pace a bit with this one. Just a lovely simple vid exploring John and Sherlock's relationship. I love it for not being anything flashy. It just lets the mood of the music take you along with the characters through looks and movement and gentle editing. Lovely stuff in other words. Also song choice! "I know we're broken" could really be the motto for those two.

Troublemaker by ageless_aislynn [Sherlock: Sherlock]
Rec: Adorable! BAMF!Sherlock with a very fun feel. Some fabulous lyric matching and great clips choices to leave you giggling (The "Oh!" and the violin repeats are my faves). If you need a pick-me-up, watch this one first. Guaranteed to send you away smiling.
