Just went on my usual walk and got honked at by 2 utes, a truck and a van. One guy even did a loop to have a second go.  All were obviously labourers or something similar (orange vests etc.)

Interestingly all just smiled and waved at me.  No "hey baby". No wolf whistles. Maybe the feminist message is slowly percolating down to more guys?  Or am I too optimistic?

The path is far enough from the road to not be scary. I wasn't posting because I'm flattered, more that it's usual for more than just a honk and a wave. So while being honked at isn't politically correct, it also didn't feel entirely crude, so... right step? :P

I don't carry anything protective, not even my phone most days...maybe I should.

It's a step up from being yelled at out of a car.
