I seriously can't stop listening to this cover of Pumped Up Kicks. They keep playing it on JJJ and it gets stuck in my brain. It's so sinister and yet so catchy! :D

I'd like a music rec. Does anyone know if there are any good violin duets out there? Preferably something slow and sweeping, but anything you could think of would be awesome. Just the violins and no background music would be perfection.

(I'm only getting home videos of small children playing tiny little fiddles on Youtube, which while cute, isn't very helpful.)

I can only think of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto E Minor (Op. 64), which I adore, but feels a little fast maybe for what I'm thinking. And it's obviously not a duet... and well I have a limited knowledge of classical music despite always being happy to listen to it.

Anyway, any help appreciated my lovelies. &hearts

OMG! I found, quite by accident, that there is an entire CD of a Bluegrass group doing Linkin Park covers and it is totally adorbs! I'm in love! It makes me grin so hard.

I had to download the whole album off iTunes, because I couldn't decide which tracks I wanted.

It's called the "Pickin' On Series" Bluegrass Tribute to Linkin Park by Cornbread Red. Seriously, look it up and listen to the samples. A-DOR-ABLE!

We trudged through the wind and rain to get it. I had to ask because it wasn't on the shelf and the lady was all "oh yeah they arrived this monring." They hadn't put them out yet. WTF? But she went and got it for me and my friend was giggling her head off saying it was just as well or I woulda chucked a tanty.

Linkin Park A Thousand Suns +limited edition DVD in a pretty pack and to top it off it tells me (on a badly placed sticker on the front cover) that there will be an Australian tour in DECEMBER 2010!!!!

Eeeeee! \o/ I am a happy fangirl. Oh yis!

I'm sitting here listening and it's really different too. It's a real mishmash of styles both new and old. I'm missing their usual heavy base line a bit, but I do like bands to try different stuff, so I'm not worried. I'm sure it'll grow on me. Also I haven't heard the whole album yet, but there are some pretty pretty song lyrics in here. :)
