Not my favourite DW Christmas Special, but it was still very enjoyable.
Question though: When the old man and the boy hug, shouldn't that make things explode, disrupt space time, cross time-streams... something? I mean they have warned about the danger of crossing your own time streams in previous episodes. Rose couldn't touch herself as a baby. Remember? And then here they hugged and nothing happened. Am I missing something?

I wondered for all of 0.5 seconds and then just went with it haha

According to the "logic" :P in DW, though, yes, you're right. Though if memory serves, Nine cautioned Rose about not touching baby!Rose because things were already in a bad way because she had changed the "right" course of things by saving her dad when he was supposed to have died and so her making contact with herself would rupture an already strained timeline. Or something like that.
Basically, I think they just employed a healthy dose of ~Handwavium~ and left it at that... ;) ♥!

I dislike Handwavium though. I adore that usually it need not be applied to DW. I mean they even used the crack in the wall to explain why nobody remember the cybermen or the daleks. *nods* Oh well.

I think when Rose couldn't touch baby Rose it was partly because she'd already caused problems by saving her Dad, and so time was already in trouble.
I did love Amy and Rory dressing up for fun and games in the honeymoon suite!
