Little help from iPod people

A friend of mine has an iPod and she want a few of my avi files, but she says they won't go onto her iPod. What do I need to change the avi file into something even a stupid Mac iPod accepts?

I'm assuming some of you do this all the time, so I'm asking before looking at forums this time.

Edit: Okay, from my googling I've decided to try Any Video Converter and I'm converting to something called a MP4. Does that sound about right?

8O but you live in the states. You have the US Open and two masters events while Melbourne just has the AO.

True. But the US Open is in NY and I live 13 hours away. Kind of expensive to go. :( Maybe one day...... :D
