like the fifth crack episode in a row? Has Supernatural lost the plot completely?
Yes it's mildly amusing. Although, that is about the fourth (possibly fifth?) time over the series they've given Sam an uncomfortable itch for their own amusement... and it was wearing really thin last episode. Yep, that's two episodes in a row Sam has itched for a cheap laugh.
Don't get me wrong, I did actually giggle through much of this episode unlike some of their other crack episodes (I generally like the crack episodes, but usually they are interspersed as one or two eps in a season, right?), BUT where is the apocalypse?
My personal theory is that Kripke, after stating he only had five seasons of material, has now realised that the Js were signed on for six. And I suspect he's been paid a lot of money by the CW to streeeeetch his one last season of material out into two seasons. Therefore all this filler is just that, filler.
Then my experience with watching all billionty seasons of the XFiles where the poor actors were locked into contracts in a similar fashion may simply have made me jaded.
Kripke, please do something to make me believe again. Not that I won't watch anyway (the J's are good and the bits of plot you're giving us are interesting), but it's not the show I fell in love with any more.

P.S. I still love Supernatural. Please don't hate me. :P

Although I don't want to say anything before the episode airs, I'm anxious about this next one. I too am getting sick of the fandom in cannon thing and have never heard of a LRPing in our Fandom (didn't even know what it was until that episode.)But I trust Kripke and know he'll make it work.
