1) OMG! Weekend! *happy*

2) Went shopping at the markets this morning to look for Christmas presents and the stall that makes wheat bags was there again. \o/ They haven't been around for a while and my old one got lost in transit somewhere. You put them in the microwave and they stay nice and hot for ages and heal all hurts - period pain, muscle ache... love 'em. But anyway, today for an extra four bucks you got this:

Eeeee! He has a pouch in his tummy for the wheat bag, so you can snuggle a bear in your misery! Best thing evah! :)

3) Watch this now! OMG! Perfect! Awesome vid!! \o/

Nobody Sees How Our Hearts Break by [livejournal.com profile] meg_tdj, Nobody Sees by Powder Finger, Angst Sam/Ruby

This vid is pretty much everything Sam/Ruby is...desperate, angsty and broken. And it's beautiful! The lyrics matching is perfect and then there's the subtle beat use and it's just one of those vids that reminds me that vidding isn't all about snazzy effects. This is super effective and so simple! I love it! :)

(New!Ruby is seriously cool! I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I love her as much as I loved Bela last season. I need some icons!)

4) Bought all my fave sandwich ingredients today and made my favourite, favourite sandwich. Nothing beats it. Nuh uh! *grins*

Hey, hon! Glad you're in a good mood :-)
(I LOVE wheat bags!)

Wheat bags rock! And yeah, I am in a good mood today. (I stopped taking that evil pill and the effect was darn near instantaneous. :P) I also wrote almost 1000 words of Dean!whump last night. lol

Aww cute. Out of curiousity how much do they sell the bags for? My mum makes them and I know they're pretty cheap to produce but I don't think she's ever found quite the right price for them, lots of places charge SO much.

From: [identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com

Oh, well I paid $20 Australian dollars for the bear!wheatbag. The wheat bag in the bear is the smallest one they sell I think, so it was maybe $14AU and the size I normally buy is a tiny bit larger (maybe 25cm long) and goes for about $16AU. Something like that. They're quite pricey I guess for what they are, but quite cheap for the comfort they provide me. These ones have a nice sort of corduroy covering on them too. I've bought far pricier stuff that is impossible to reheat etc. (One memorable one you had to boil before you could reuse it. *eyeroll* And I didn't have any pots big enough to hold it properly.)

Wheat bags are awesome! I hope she sells loads! :)

Aww, what a cute teddy! (I hope he's not suicidal! :D)

I like the development of Ruby's character, but I just can't stand the actress. Sorry, I'm trying, but it's not working. :(

Lol. Funny enough, with Bella, it was the opposite. Hated (or loved?) the character (I love to hate her, kind of way), but I thought Cohan did an awesome job.

He does not have lollipop disease, thank you very much! I checked before purchasing! lol

LOL! It's okay, I totally understand. I don't mind being in the minority on this one and I know I am. I like hearing people's opinions. Most of my friends seem to dislike her, but they can't pinpoint why and just figure she's a bad actress. lol I'm just a unique butterfly (or something)! :P

Oh, this is cute! I've been thinking of getting a wheat bag. Are they better than the usual water bottles?

From: [identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com

Well they don't go cold, which is awesome! I hate waking up with a cold "hot water bottle." lol And I like not having to muck about with boiling water when I'm feeling crappy. They're pretty similar I guess otherwise. Nice hot pack sitting just where you want it. :)

Staying warm is good! I think I'll get one then. Thanks!

I gotta say I'm digging that wheat bag and adorable teddy bear. It's a lot more eco-friendly than those gel-filled packs they sell in drug stores.

From: [identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com

Oh tell me about it. And those gel-filled pack quite often rely on a chemical reaction which means that if you want to reuse them, you have to boil them for quite a while to make them soft again. I had one once and ended up throwing it out and it costs far more than a wheat bag, I tell you.

The bear was so cute I couldn't resist him! :)
