I want to make my computer as invulnerable as Rodney. Please help. :)

Okay, so last year I bought CA Security Centre, which has been a pain the butt to say the least. This year I figured I'd try to protect my computer the free product route. Sooo, to that effect I've downloaded a few products ready to install when my current protection dies in early Feb. I was hoping my wonderfully online savvy friends-list might have some suggestions and information for me, so I don't miss anything important.

So far I have downloaded:
AVG Antivirus
AVG Anti-spyware
AVG Anti-rootkit

I already have and use:
Ad-aware SE personal
Spyware blaster
Spybot search and destroy

I've downloaded both:
Zone alarm firewall and COMODO firewall

I've used Zone alarm in the past, but there were some online recommendations from users saying ZA has become less useful and COMODO is now a better free product. Anyone use one or the other and have an opinion?

Should I be dling any other protection or does that about cover it?
Are there other products you would recommend over the ones I have dled so far?

Thank you kindly for any help
Lizzie

I've been using AVG for years now and its probably one of the best. Its regularly updated and runs pretty well and I haven't ever had issues with it and viruses since I got it. I used to use Norton before that, but it was terrible :3
Essentially, just as long as you don't click on dodgy looking links or go to questionable sites, its likely that you'll be perfectly fine. Using Mozilla/firefox helps too and keeping that regularly updated is probably sufficient. I think it also has an email program (?) but I haven't tried that one.

Cool! Nice to hear. :)
I do use Firefox and I use gmail for my email and it's made of awesome, so it sounds like I'm all good. Yay! Bring on Feb 16 and the end of CA Security Center and it's incredible suckitude!! I honestly can't believe I paid for such crap!

Ayup, Gmail is pretty good with stuff like that. Just double check filters and stuff like that to ensure that you haven't got anything nasty there.

Yeah, I couldn't believe that I had paid for Norton as well. It was pretty bad to use, but not only that, after the subscription had expired, I can't get rid of these damn notifications telling me that its expired. Think I had to go through system files to get rid of them :/

Checked my filters and there wasn't anything weird there. Thanks. :)
