Girly DVD day!

rinkle and I had a girly afternoon in with fish and chips and DVD's. What more could you want?

We watched some Dark Angel... the episodes with Jenson Ackles, because it seemed like a good place to start. I'd forgotten how much I loved that show. So now I've stolen Rinne's boxset (stolen because I don't really want to give it back... I may have to buy them yet!) and I'm starting from the beginning. Yay!

Oh and we watched MacGyver. I had seriously forgotten how cheesy that show is! So, so funny!
We watched some S3 episode called "Ghostship" I think. Anyway, there's MacGyver, finding ships in the middle of nowhere, running around after Russian pirates, and rescuing girls from...
wait for it...

A SASQUATCH! BIGFOOT! Mweehehehehe!

So for me, being me, this brings up a shitload of awesome(ly bad) crossover ideas with Supernatural.

Ash: Dude, love the hair!
MacGyver: Thanks man!

Dean: We are so screwed!
MacGyver: If we use the rock salt and combine it with the sulphur residue from the demon and mix it with some household chemicals, we'll have a powerful poltergeist-killing salt-bomb.
Then we can use the crossbow to fire a rope out the window, slide down to the ground and make our way to the bones.
Sam: *worships*

Or something! Obviously the plot needs some tweaking, but Rinne and I couldn't stop giggling the whole way through.

I'd forgotten how much fun random DVD afternoons are. It doesn't matter what you watch, it's all about snarking at the plotline, chatting about random unrelated stuff, pointing out tight pants and hot guys, coming up with random fanfic ideas and eating greasy food! *sigh* What a fab day!

Although, would it be better to have the rock-salt kept in an easily breakable but protected container, so that the rock-salt will still be there and have it's awesome Demon-Hurting powers? Because the chemicals might nullify its properties. Like the shrapnel/nail bits in... er, real bombs.

I'm not even fannish about SPN, but it's such an awesomely cracked idea. If you go with an older MacGyver, he could've known their dad and studied under the same guy, or something. Maybe MacGyver just wasn't willing to believe all that stuff when he was a young whippersnapper, until he found himself working as a secret agent and encountered things like the Sasquatch.
