I blame a random bout of sillyness for this. It was a funny idea at the time, but not written with much style. Anyway...

Title: The incredible Radek
Rating: rug-rat friendly, Gen, crack I suppose?
Words: Around 640
Summary: An accident with some Ancient technology leads to some dangerous changes in Dr Radek Zelenka.

I was reading [livejournal.com profile] cupidsbow's flashfic entry and it's all written in Haiku. I've never really understood these, though they do make a lot more sense when it's not a computer randomly generating them.

Anyway, I did a little internet search out of interest and this amused me.

The art form remains very popular today. For example, in Japan, traditional Microsoft error messages have been replaced with haikus.

Windows XP crashed.
I am the Blue Screen of Death.
No one hears your screams.

I seriously want that message. How much better does it convey the feelings I have for that damn bluscreen of death?!!

Oh and there's a random Haiku generator here, which generates haiku from your LJ entries. It picked my atlantis_lvw entry.

a short space of time
at least not without running
and he off again

Then it picked my Sateda commentary:

was about 15c and
raining here today bob joe
never lost a hunt

Hmmmm. I think there's something in that for everyone, don't you? NOT!

Hey lovely peoples. Your reminder that it's voting time again over at [livejournal.com profile] atlantis_lvw. Challenge #2 is ready to be judged and there are 19 wonderful short (less than 400 words) stories on the theme "repairs".

So, what are you waiting for? Go and read the stories and leave a comment (they are screened) with your three least favourites and a small reason why (great feedback for the authors). Also let them know your favourite story.

Has everyone seen the manips of Rodney, John and Radek into Xmen characters? They're amazing! I just love Rodney in leather and how amazing is Zelenka as Nightcrawler?!!

Go Look!

The fic it's based on is very clever too. The link is on the page. :)

I've just watched ep one of Bab5 and I'd forgotten how tacky it felt in season 1. The characters aren't built up yet and the wonderful political and other intrigues start getting really good later on, and so you just notice the some what tacky music and the very computerized effects and some of the manly posturing and dialogue is cracking me up! *loves* I know it gets better; I just wonder how they roped people in the first time. I know I started watching the series in about S4 and went back to catch up on the plots later. :) Repeats: *loves*

Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] rinkle

Throws streamers and confetti at you!

I solemnly swear that there will be one fic starring Teyla and Elizabeth for you, as requested, before... your next bday. hehe! I've never been fast at these things. :p
