Hey SPN fandom... where are you?

I'm wandering through all the SPN communities I'm a member of and I'm saddened to find they are almost all dead. There's just crickets and the echo of happier days. (Though I am happy they're still up as an archive.)

Can anyone point me to where SPN fandom is still alive? Has it moved to Dreamwidth? Is it hiding in a few communities I am not a member of or haven't flittered into yet? In particular are there any:
- writing communities open to fact-finding or collating of information for SPN writers,
- general discussion communities,
- busy fic communities?

I'm almost regretting popping in. It's like the party is over and I'm sitting here eating the cake alone. It's very good cake though. :(

SPN people come friend me. :P

(Me: I'm mostly a gen girl, but I don't mind mixed communities and I will read the odd bit of het and slash. I don't do the Wincest/J2 thing, but it won't stop me talking to you if you don't mind that I don't go there. I'm currently re-watching my DVDs. Just hit Season 4!)

Hi there, I'm visiting via ash48's post, and wanted to say "hey, and welcome back" :)
I just read your profile and see that as well as SPN you also list SGA as an interest. This makes me very happy!♥
Now I'm a wincest!girl, but a Dean!girl first with the occasional Sam moment, I'm all for each-to-their-own and have no problem chatting with people of different pairings etc. In SGA I'm a John!girl and a Shex!girl, and I'm a mod over at hot_shex.

Anyway, love to see you around the place, the more the merrier I say. :)

Hi! *waves vigorously* My first fandom was SGA! So many memories. It's where I learnt to write fic and make vids and learnt about crack!fic. I'd never heard the term Shex, but now I see it's Dex/Sheppard, nice! Honestly, I slahed in SGA fandom quite a bit. I never had a favourite pairing or anything though.

I'm totally on board with each-to-their-own. Not sure why, but none of the slash ever grabbed me in SPN fandom and I just don't like the Wincest thing (not that I can't see why people do). I do occasionally read the het fic, but there's not much of it, so I'm mostly a gen girl. Not worried that you aren't though. I mostly mentioned it in case people wondered why I wasn't reading their fic or something. Wouldn't want to be rude.

Yep, the SPN het is pretty thin on the ground, and in a lot of cases it's only there to feed the slash, which I don't like too much. I'm a fan of Dean/Lisa, and Sam/Jodie, though I haven't found too many fics that do it for me for these pairings. I've been reading some character bleed recently, and a particularly scorching Sam/Jared wall!sex one.

I once wrote a little Dean/Lisa fic, but it was basically gen. Sam/Jared? I think my head just tilted like a confused puppy. Not for me, but I do wonder about the set up. How does an actor meet his character? Anyway... catch you around. I'm going to wander off to get into a nice warm bed... and probably read some SPN fic there. :)
