"Pseudomonas aeruginosa pyocyanin induced liver sinusoidal endothelial cell defenestration - linking sepsis & hyperlipidemia?"
I just giggled insanely at this topic for a talk I'm invited to, because when I started my PhD I'd never been in a medical environment, but now I can pronounce all of those words without a pause! Teehee! What a mouth full for a topic though...sheesh! I'm not going, just found it amusing.
Posted the letter to my landlord using registered post today. I added a paragraph to the bottom about the possum issue too, so it's all on record. Lets see what he does now... *watch this space* I'm certain it will be interesting. Thanks to you all for your advice.

I can't believe how much of an unhelpful wanker your landlord is. What a prat for not telling you about the new agent!
One of my friends has had problems with a similarly unhelpful landlord recently --- his hot water heater broke, so he called the owner, and there was no response. He tried again for the next couple of days, and since he continually received no response, he went to the owners house. He found out from a neighbour that the guy had gone on holidays --- my friend left a couple of letters at the owner's house, explaining about the broken hot water system. The owner returned home after about a week, then took another couple of days before deciding he'd be able to fix it himself (he's a cheap bastard who doesn't want to spend a cent). After trying for a few hours, he realised he wouldn't be able to do it, and so he organised for someone to fix it, but he chose some company that couldn't come for a few more days (probably because they were cheapest) --- all in all, my friend would have gone for about 3 weeks without hot water. I think I would have died in that time!!

He didn't like it when he had to pay to fix the loo though. Apparently raw sewerage running onto the floor is also not 'urgent' in his world. My RE Agent at the time was made of awesome though and she socked it to him!! I miss her.
You know, it's sad, but I'm ranting far more often in my LJ since my mum left to go overseas. *shakes head* I guess that means you guys will get three whole months of my ranting. :p
