"Pseudomonas aeruginosa pyocyanin induced liver sinusoidal endothelial cell defenestration - linking sepsis & hyperlipidemia?"

I just giggled insanely at this topic for a talk I'm invited to, because when I started my PhD I'd never been in a medical environment, but now I can pronounce all of those words without a pause! Teehee! What a mouth full for a topic though...sheesh! I'm not going, just found it amusing.

Posted the letter to my landlord using registered post today. I added a paragraph to the bottom about the possum issue too, so it's all on record. Lets see what he does now... *watch this space* I'm certain it will be interesting. Thanks to you all for your advice.

Huh.

Isn't defenestration throwing someone out a window?

Yep it is that. I'm assuming it has a biological use as well, like maybe proteins get kicked out of the cell or something. *shrugs* I dunno. The whole talk topic made me gak. Most people give an abridged talk title.

Did you see there's a McShep version of the Sound of Muisc now? The first bit is funny, but I haven't read the rest yet. It's called The Sound of Science. *giggles* I love this fandom. That reel_sga community is hilarious.

*gets back to work with a sigh*

Nope, didn't see the McShep. But, then, I don't hang around the right sort of communities to see that.

have a peek at reel_sga. Some of the art is hilarious too. They had a list of old movies and people claimed one and then redid it sga style. Some of them are mightily funny. Zelenka as the cowardly lion in a manip of The Wizard of Oz is fanastic.

*nods and smiles*
*tries to look like I understand*

I can't even SAY that, let alone understand it, so I'm very impressed that you know what it means!

I'm looking forward to hearing your landlord's reply - the bastard better pay up!

I was just going through and sorting all my bills and recipts and stuff...really needs doing...and I found a note scrawled on the back of a receipt telling me that I have a new RE agent. I have never cursed so hard in my life! I plan to ring them tomorrow and arrange to send them a copy of the letter. I can't believe the bastard didn't tell me when I asked him if there were other ways to contact him. rrawr! *spits*

*cough* Sorry [/ranting]

LJ ranting is good for the soul!

...and yes, he'd better pay up!

Yep, LJ ranting is good for the soul. Its very therapeutic!

I can't believe how much of an unhelpful wanker your landlord is. What a prat for not telling you about the new agent!

One of my friends has had problems with a similarly unhelpful landlord recently --- his hot water heater broke, so he called the owner, and there was no response. He tried again for the next couple of days, and since he continually received no response, he went to the owners house. He found out from a neighbour that the guy had gone on holidays --- my friend left a couple of letters at the owner's house, explaining about the broken hot water system. The owner returned home after about a week, then took another couple of days before deciding he'd be able to fix it himself (he's a cheap bastard who doesn't want to spend a cent). After trying for a few hours, he realised he wouldn't be able to do it, and so he organised for someone to fix it, but he chose some company that couldn't come for a few more days (probably because they were cheapest) --- all in all, my friend would have gone for about 3 weeks without hot water. I think I would have died in that time!!

*meep* This guy fixed my hot water system when it broke once, though it was working still in the morning, so I think it just had a broken timer or something in it. Three days of cold showers was enough for me.

He didn't like it when he had to pay to fix the loo though. Apparently raw sewerage running onto the floor is also not 'urgent' in his world. My RE Agent at the time was made of awesome though and she socked it to him!! I miss her.

You know, it's sad, but I'm ranting far more often in my LJ since my mum left to go overseas. *shakes head* I guess that means you guys will get three whole months of my ranting. :p
