My poor baby community vid_the_grid has been badly neglected by me since my vidding software died, but I want to rectify that.

As such, I was wondering if anyone had any novel pimping ideas or thoughts on improving the community.

I'm also still looking for an enthusiastic helper who could get the rec posts going again. I'm just not very reliable in that way. Sad to say.

Open to discussion/suggestions.

Hi people, just thought I'd pimp this here and see if any of the flisties had ideas. Were a little light on the ground for recs this month, but then I chose an obscure theme... :P

The theme for this month's Vid Reccommendation post @ vid_the_grid is "Red".

Link us vids you associate with the colour red. Red with anger, red tinge textures or colouring choice, a song about red roses or themed around blood ties. Whatever it is, if you associate it with the colour red, it's a fanvid and you enjoyed it, tell us all about it here:

Can someone please explain why the same html tables are being interpretted differently by different layout styles? Is there a way to fix this?

See The List to see what I mean. If you click on some people's table links, they have tables the way I made them, but others are coming out with some of the lines or none of them.

I tried it on mod_the_grid and it came out with only some of the lines. As far as I can tell the different layouts interpret the html differently, but bwah?! *flail* Anyone got a magic solution?

I'm only glad it's the lines and not the prompts that go missing. heh.

vid_the_grid is based on the numerous fic prompt table communities that you can find all over LJ. But why should authors have all the fun? In this community, the idea is to extend the fun to vidders too.

It's easy as:

1. Choose your table
2. Stake your claim
3. Post your vids

No time limits.
All fandoms accepted.

There will also be monthly posts where anybody can recommend their favourite vids on a theme. The current theme is 80’s music.
