Long Road Home by friendshipper Summary: AU, gen, friendship, h/c. You can run to the ends of the Earth, but you can't escape from yourself. The story of an illegal immigrant, an emotionally and physically damaged veteran trying to shut out the world, and a border patrol agent who hates his job. Maybe they were destined to be friends in any universe.

McKay/Sheppard AU - On Life and Living (Some NC17 bits in it) by wesleysgirl

The Red Door (or, a Postmodern Prometheus) by Martha (Sheppard/Zelenka, Sheppard/McKay, Sheppard/McKay/Zelenka)- Jesus, John thought. They really were in a Frankenstein movie.

No Time by kylielee1000 (3000 words, PG-13, Carson Beckett/John Sheppard) Summary: It always catches up with you in the end. AN: Written for the Insane Carson Ficathon over at icaw, for the request: John/Carson or John/Carson/Radek pairing; Carson injured/ill, an explanation of what Carson meant by "I have an inkling" in "The Hive," Dom/sub relationship with John as Dom., spanking, a ferret. -- Can you guess what made me click on this one? Curiosity of course! :P

Missed the Saturday Dance is a full on multimedia masterpiece, with sound bites, a vid, photomanips and of course fic. Taken as a whole it is rather stunning, so go take a look. (McKay/Sheppard, R-rated I suppose, historical story)

Woman King by skypig21 (K+, gen) This is a Teyla/Rodney friendship story and it's just really different.

Earth 2 by ltlj is gen fic with Carter, McKay and Sheppard. I love a good genfic and I love Sheppard's confusion throughout this story.

Field Jacket Blues by amitee (Elizabeth/Teyla PG13) It's as much about change and the women's love and loss, as it is about their relationship with each other. It's rather beautiful and got me a little teary.

Find it here in franticsga's lj (John/Rodney, NC17+) Ngfffhgh! I have no words! Hot puddle jumper sex and I'm unashamedly reccing it...

As the Stars Fade Out by cottontail73 McKay/Sheppard, but really a team/s fic as well. She rates it R (but I'd probably stick with Mature. There is only one not very explicit sex scene and the violence isn't much worse than that on the show.) A crossover with SG1, where the two teams are looking for the Ori weapon and the mission goes rather badly. The characterization is great, there's a nice McKay/Sheppard dynamic with a slow building relationship and the descriptive writing style and McKay POV worked well for me.

Prologue by James (NC17 threesome slash, John/Rodney, John/Rodney/Carson) Summary: Carson Beckett encounters a piece of Ancient technology which changes his life in more ways than one.

Sex With Your Drugged Team Leader: Is It Really Such A Bad Idea? by imperfectcircle. This is actually quite tame and highly amusing and witty to boot. I just giggled my ass off!! (PG13+, John/Rodney, but not in an over the top way, S1 team fic.)

String Theory by Toft (NC-17, McKay/Sheppard, AU) John is a violinist and Rodney a conductor/composer who discovers him. It's just beautiful.

Woobies of Woe by AbylityMaren. The author describes this as an anti-kid fic. It's hilarious! Rodney really dislikes kids, but finds himself stuck with one. He nick-names her "Bug" and the whole saga is just hilarious as the pair terrorise Atlantis. I must admit, it's fun to find a kidfic where the kid isn't all gooey-eyed and saintly. This kid is a menace and Rodney's almost as bad.

Lover Come Back (NC17+, McKay/Sheppard) It's a kind of screwball romantic comedy set in a future world.

Basura NC17
This fic is very dark. All the members of the Atlantis team were damaged goods. Sent by the military to get rid of them. Sheppard is a psychopath, Beckett and Ford are drug-users, Rodney is schizophrenic etc. Contains rape, torture and violence, yet very well written and interesting concept, but dark as all hell -Read at your own risk.

So the fic is Your cowboy days are over (Mammas, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys) by samdonne (It's a long one at 59,100 words.) (Dark themes, NC17 for themes as well as explicit (het) sex (Sheppard/OC mainly and some Sheppard/Teyla), there's also some violence and death (non-canon characters). - This is the most amazing, hard-hitting fic ever. The author has imagined a future world where John and Teyla have left Atlantis and are struggling to survive and make it on their own. (I'll point out here that it is not a Sheppard/Teyla shippy fic.) Hard to get into, but well worth the read.

First Sheppard as a bear in Little Bear and then Zelenka gets a go. Sun Bear. bear!fic again and more bear!fic by kellifer_fic. Adorable. So utterly adorable!

Solus Ipse by purple_cube (PG, Gen) Poor Grodin! This fic made me sniffle sorrowfully!

The Cassandra Effect by liketheriver. (Gen, kiddie safe, crack) Summary: (Following the axing of Stargate SG1) The Atlantis team learns that a member of the SGC must join them in Atlantis. Discussion ensues over who it should be.

Butterfly Effect by chaps1870 (McKay and Sheppard friendship, Gen, AU, PG13) Great idea and really heart-wrenching.

The Teacher's Pet series. The kid!John is just so believable and each of the team's reactions, especially Rodney's are just so beautiful. Last I looked it was still a WIP
