Has Anyone got mp3s of:
Arlo Guthrie - Alice's Restaurant
Smothers Brothers (Canadian (I think?) Comedy duo from the 60's)???
Thing being, that ever since I was a little kid, these songs have been played, especially at Christmas time, in my family. Seriously it's what plays while we decorate our Christmas tree. I have no idea why, but it's become tradition. For this reason, I'm known to quote them randomly.
Phrases like "implements of destruction" or "I wanna kill, kill, kill" or "There be pumas in that there cravas" just pop out of my mouth and people look at me like I've lost my mind.
I wanted to at least introduce some of my friends to the delight of Alice's Restaurant. I'm not sure whether the Smothers Brothers will be as easy to track down. My parents have them, but on record, so I'm not sure how to get a copy other than on tape.
So yeah...anyone got any of these? I'd reward you with something...

I may need a song you have some day, it all evens out in the end.
Speaking of music - what do you generally listen to? I don't know much about music tastes in your neck of the woods.

Um, in Australia we mostly get all the same popular American stuff on the commercial radio stations, or there's TripleJ, which is a government-run station, and it's little more varied. There's always Australian singers that are popular too... and Australian Idol stars etc., but my mind is drawing a blank at the moment for names. I guess people like The Whitlams, or INXS are some. :D
Thanks again.

I tried to pick up local CD's when I was in europe and asia, just to have something new and different to listen to. :-)
