Any Smallville fans about?

I really want to watch all of Smallville, but I'm still back at S6 or so. I'm looking for scenes of movies/TV shows that show that heroes are heroes because of the friends and loved ones around them.

And I came across this scene on youtube from S10. <--clicky (obviously S10 spoilers!)

Is there any reason that this scene wouldn't fit that description? Just don't want to get something waaaay out of context, ya know.

It's been awhile since I've seen that episode, but it looks like it fits your criteria to me.

In fact, that was the point of the entire show - that Clark is who he is because of the people who loved him, particularly his parents. If not for Jonathan and Martha (and later, Jor-El,) he would still have been a powerful alien, but he wouldn't have been Superman.

I think you're good with this scene.
