Once again gakked from Amireal's LJ, and I just have to share.
C is for Cookie *OMG dies* UTube really does rock!
Oh and I never *squeed* in my journal about the fact that my friend and I have tickets to the FSF Stargate converntion coming to Sydney in October. Okay, so it's a small convention, but I've never been to one, so I'm excited anyway. I hope Rachel Luttrel doesn't cancel on us. *fingers crossed*
In other news my cloning is officially shite. I may or may not have the gene cloned into the vector...PCR says I do, but it also turns up in the controls, so inconclusive. Then restriction digest did give me a product of correct size in some of the clones, but there was also other bands, so I probably had mixed colonies. I've done another different digest as a final check, before my supervisor thinks I should start that bit again, with freshly digested and thouroughly checked vector. Bleh!
Oh and um he suggested that I go to his house next weekend for oh 4 hours or so and he can help me get a good start on the writing. Oh so nice of him, but oh how it freaks me out as well. His house, three kids, knowing I'm using up his valuable free time (which is very sparse). *meep* I've done it before to practice a talk and that felt very strange. He's such a nice supervisor, but he does give me a huge guilt complex at times. I wish he could just find some time during the day, like a normal supervisor would. *sigh*
my mum is coming up for Easter and we're going to the Easter show. I love the Easter show when I go with mum. We both revert to somewhere in the vicinity of age 5 when it comes to shows. We have to see every sheep and cow and pat them all on the nose and say hello. We have to watch the woodchopping competitions and cheer on the slow ones. We just have to see all the pretty pictures made out of vegetables and marvel at the giant pumpkins. Oh and we always buy a few showbags (stick on tattoo bags yeah!) and big gelato cones. *sigh* I can't wait.
Last night I tried BodyPump for the first time. It's all lifting weights and it's very slow and steady and controlled. Nothing like the Energizer Bunny-style classes we usually do. Mcalex22 came to show us how it's done. I thought I'd be so sore this morning, but my muscles actually feel good...relaxed even. Though my triceps hurt some. My arms are very whoosy things! :p I'm going to Body Combat tonight, so I will have gone to a class every day so far this week. Go me! BodyCombat, BodyAttack, BodyPump, BodyCombat. I doubt the gym is open Good Friday, or I could make a clean sweep of it by doing BodyAttack again.
Oh and we're going to have a Ferry ride and a picnic tomorrow. Yay for long weekends. This shall be fun!

Nah my supervisor isn't creepy like that. Plus he has three kids and a very nice wife. It's just that he has very little spare time full stop and I hate to feel like I'm stopping him from spending family time with his kids and stuff.
Oh and would you like to join us tomorrow Rinne? There's three of us taking the Ferry to Watson's Bay and having a picnic lunch. Maybe take a walk somewhere. *points to mcalex's comment above. Short notice, but if you're interested, just say the word.

You do know that there's also a "chance of showers near the coast" tomorrow.
What time train would you be catching, do you know? Cause I have no idea how long it would take to get from the train down to where the ferries are...
Actually, I just don't know anything...

Um we'll be going by train. It'll be weekend timetable for the public holiday and we're meeting up just before 11am at the ferries. You'd probably have to leave early to get from where you are. We'll probably allow at least an hour travel time...maybe even more and we live a bit closer than you.
