Does anyone like the new Friends page layout? I'm dreading them making it permanent. I had to switch back as it's just yucky. I'm wondering if it'll eventually allow us to choose colours and headers or if it will stay looking so bland.
You know what I like even *less*? They've managed to screw up my comm layout for BigPretzel. It's not two columns any more, it's one huge one, with all the sidebar stuff hidden down at the bottom.
I switched, I switched straight back, no way can I scroll down a page that looks like that. As far as I know it will be made permanent soon and there is no word from any of the early beta testers that there will be any choice or customisations allowed as it's a system page.
This is LJ. Of course they'll start making it permanent. I also hate it, and switched back barely half a minute after trying it out. What's the point of giving us the option to choose our own layout for our journal, and then making us use the LJ enforced Friends page that looks completely different? The Friends page is the one I frequent most often in my journal, and I'd hate if LJ forced the new layout down my throat. Another reason to contemplate quitting my paid account and switching over to Dreamwidth after all.
They are at least indicating that colour and font will be options that we can change. The look of it's not bothering me too much, but it's sad not seeing my style there.
It's really wide on my screen - takes up the whole screen. Plus I really dislike the pattern on the background and I also dislike not having my own style. Fine as an option, but not if they force it on us as a default. :(
I'm glad to hear there may be some options at least.

I'll end up checking 2 journals and that'd be too time-consuming. :(
