First of all, thank you for vidding for me! This is my first year of signing up and I am looking forward to seeing whatever you come up for me. I've noted some suggestions in case you find them helpful, but feel free to go where your inspiration takes you. Really! I love surprises! And I would be so happy to see anything vidded in any of these fandoms that you really don't need to worry that I might not like it. It's a fact that I WILL like it!
A couple of very general squicks: Please note that I often have a hard time hearing voice overs when they are placed over song lyrics ( I think I can't concentrate on the lyrics and the voice overs at the same time), so if you use voice overs, please try to make them really clear and use them sparingly. I also tend to prefer gen vids or canon pairing vids, but I've been surprised before by vids that don't fit these categories, so don't let me put you off if you're only into romantic vids.
Music-wise, I'm an eclectic person. Dorky 80's songs, rock classics, classical music, soundtracks, dance music, music styles from around the world... I probably own and love something in most genres you can think of. That said, I am generally less fond of the hardcore heavy metal where the singers scream all the time (I must be getting old) or rap of the sort where a guy blabs on about their sexual exploits (the content is usually the issue there).
So on to my requests:
Chaos - 2011
Details: There's only one season of this show, so it's very easy to catch up on if you've yet to watch it! I'd probably prefer a gen vid or canon pairing if possible (I don't really go for any non-canon pairings in this show, but good old-fashioned bromance is more than fine), featuring one or all of the ODS team. Any Chaos vid will thrill me to pieces. The mix of drama and quirky humour of this show is just spot-on! I love my ODS team! Love 'em. Oh and I didn't mention earlier, but I have a tiny girl!crush on Deputy Director Adele Ferrer. I can't believe they axed this show. It was brilliant! Basically, if I get a vid that I didn't make myself, I'll die happy! :D
Spooks:
Details: I'm just starting S8 as I type this, but I hope to be up to date before these are due, so any season is probably fine, but that's why I may appear stuck in the past a bit. I'll love anything you make, so don't feel you have to use these ideas, but in case they help you, I'd adore something featuring all the tough women of MI5 - Jo, Ros and Zoe etc. - that would be amazing. Something intense with lots of action would also be loved and adored. Adam is my favourite leading male so far, so anything featuring him would also be amazing. But anything! Really!
The Cape - 2011
Details: Another poor show that got cancelled before it got a fare go, so if you're stuck at all, with only 10 episodes this is almost a safety fandom. And it's a lot of fun! Something focussing on the circus aspects on the show and the training of The Cape would be awesome (that's my favourite part of the show). Or perhaps something that is an overview of all the various villains he faces would be really interesting too. But again, anything at all would be loved!
Whip It
Music: Something upbeat would be my preference, but don't worry if you're ideas swing you elsewhere.
Details: My thoughts are mostly for something happy, colourful and fun that revolves around the Roller Derby aspects of the movie and the ladies who are on the team. That would be awesome. I didn't really watch this movie for the romance, but for the tough roller derby action fun and the fun scenes of training to be a roller derby star! :D
Chuck
Music: Something happy and fun as a preference.
Details: I'd adore a vid featuring Ellie and Captain Awesome OR a vid featuring all the Buymore characters OR just Something featuring Chuck being his usually dorky self with Morgan et. al. and all the fun moments. Basically anything would be great! I love surprises. Preferably not a Chuck/Sarah vid though. :)
Dark Skies (1996)
Details: I'd love something focussing on John/Kim on the run and the conspiracy and aliens and all the things they're up against as a couple. But anything would rock my socks. I haven't ever seen a Dark Skies vid, so it's all original to me. I can imagine so many possibilities for this show...crack/humour, a dramatic overview, an action-packed romp, something tentacle-filled and scary, or just something plain fun and all of them would work in my mind. Go for it!
Primeval
Details: Oh gosh! I love all the special effects and action and I love all the various character interactions too. Something general is more than fine or if you want to concentrate on a particular season, that's fine too! Favourite characters would be Stephen and Cutter, Rex, Becker, Abby and Lester. Becker and Jess are awfully sweet together and of course Conner and Abby. Anything, honestly! Oh and I forgot to say earlier that for various reasons I can't really vid the later seasons atm so even though I prefer some of the earlier characters, I'd love a later season vid too, really! And I somehow failed to mention that I found Danny Quinn absolutely hilarious! His facial expressions or something and the way he could MacGyver his way out of things, so a vid featuring him and how awesome he is would be brilliant. As you can see, I'll love it all! :D
The Listener
Details: I would love a vid featuring Oz and Toby and their fabulous friendship. Or maybe a vid featuring Oz being loveable. Or a vid focussing on the paramedics of the show saving people's lives every day and hitting the streets in an ambulance. For more minor characters, I'd also be quite interested in a vid featuring Dev if you thought you could pull it off. As always, I'll love anything you make.
And finally, YES, I'd be so absolutely delighted to receive a gift vid or even multiple gift vids. (Is there really anyone out there who wouldn't be?)
