Does anyone know if GIMP can make gifs? Or if there is a free program that will make gifs?
I just got all the images together to make a gif in Adobe Imageready and suddenly it has died. :(

Adobe Photoshop should be able to do the trick (sort of; I also add in Vegas to the mix). I have a tutorial here if you think it'll work for you. The tut is a bit more complicated, but you can still look at the Photoshop part to see what you do with the AVI/MOV file.

Hope this helps!

Hmm, don't think it'll work for me. I could start a gain and do that I guess, but right now I've made all the still images and usually I'd import the whole file of images into imageready where you can fiddle with the speed the images change etc. and save as a gif.

I can't see any way to do that in my photoshop without imageready. Though maybe it's all incorporated in this new version and I'm missing something.

Thanks anyway. That looks like something I may try another time.

Ooh I think I found it. Imageready is all built into this edition, so my old version isn't working with it. *bounce* I think I got it. I hope!
