I simply can't believe this has happened. So far 8 confirmed dead, including children, and the images coming out of there. Houses and cars floating down rivers, people clinging to the roof.
It makes me so sad I can't even express it.
However, this post is mostly just to say, I'm nowhere near those floods and neither are any of my family. We are all safe. I just didn't want anyone to worry about me, as people here on LJ often genuinely do.
My thoughts are with all the people affected.

I have family in the area but thankfully they were just out of reach of the floods.

I'm glad you're okay. I get tears in my eyes just thinking about all that flooding. I fell in love with QLD back in 2008 when I had the chance to see it's beauty. It's so sad to hear of all the damage and all the loss of life there. :(
Hope things will get better and will keep everyone in my prayers.
