Vegas has suddenly decided not to play any of the video on my avi files. Even on files which were working fine until recently.

It will only play the audio bit.

*frowny face of doom* I have vids I wanna make.

Help? :(

Maybe... double check your codecs are up-to-date? (I had a similar issue with video - not vidding though, just another program - until I updated Div X.)

Just updating divx now. I'm thinking it's probably an issue with one of the ripping programs I've installed of late... so I'll probably have to do that system reset to an earlier date thingy. If I can remember how. *facepalm*

Ugh, I think when I updated some software the other month it may have introduced other codecs that clash with the existing ones. Unfortunately my system reset points don't go back that far and deleting the software has done nothing for Vegas. *hands* It's a sticky one. I haven't a clue what else to do.

Updating divx didn't help either. :(

Hope you fix it. I have the opposite issue wherebby the audio disappears on entering vegas. Good job I don't do many voiceover bits lol *hugs*

The audio disappears all the time for me, btu I just use Switchfile sound converter to grab the audio from the whole episode and line it up if I need it.

This is new and much more annoying. Can't vid without the video. :(

Vegas hates XVIDS for some reason. I have the little XVID/DIVX converter thingy if you want to try that...

K... First download this:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/5situo

Then open it up and click on the little folder icon to browse for your video clip.

After you select it and click OPEN, change the text in in both boxes to DIVX (all caps).

Click APPLY and when you reimport the video into Vegas it should work.

Hmm, I think I got that off SVS once. Don;t have it on this compy though, so thanks. Hopefully it'll do something.

Nope. :(
I still get a message "Stream attributes could not be determined"

Thanks anyway
