I know, I'm late to a show as usual. But it's only recently out here.

Anyway, the official website sanctuaryforall has a bit that says "Join our team! Come play a part in interactive missions in the Sanctuary!", but when I click it, it says Australians can't play. Typical! :(

Before you ask, Hide my ass just 'aint working on this one. It tells me it's encrypted and I need the direct address, which I can't get.

So, this is a long winded way of saying "I AM CURIOUS", so can someone who is say American (or maybe Canadian?) skip on over and poke about in that bit and tell me what is there? Am I missing anything?

Much obliged.
The Curious Bunny

P.S. Just watching the start of S2 now. Why the hell did they kill Ashley and replace her with a way more obnoxious dark-haired chick? I didn't mind Ashley, but the new girl is bugging the heck out of me so far. I'm holding out vain hope that she gets less infuriating.

Kate does get better, actually, but I still miss Ashley. :( :( :(

Ashley kinda...had a reason for being who she was and she was softer or something. A little more girly in her glee, perhaps. I liked her. Kate feels like she's trying too hard, but I'll see. Characters usually grow on me over time. I would have actually really liked them to keep Clara. I mean, invisible girl... cool! I was so sad about her. From the moment they made her all lovey-dovey with Will, I just knew they were gonna kill her. :(

They need more gals in this show.

I was wondering about it, KMart has s1 for $19. You recommend?

Do I recommend it? Hmm. Well, I don't know your TV tastes really, but I'd say it's worth a look-in at that price. The British accent Amanda Tapping uses is really annoying at first, but you just get used to it. lol Other than that, it's mostly switch-your-brain-off fun. It grows on you, for sure. Also the graphics are pretty cool. Pretty much everything is CGI, like they are always acting to a bluescreen. Every now and then it's really noticable, but that only makes me realise how I haven't noticed it the rest of the time. It's really very speccy. *G*

Basically the show is a little cliched, but also quirky and it totally grew on me as the seasons went along. Some of the more secondary characters are particularly fun with their evil glares and super powers.

There's a synopsis on the website, but it makes me giggle with its heavy use of superlatives. Nonetheless... linky (http://www.sanctuaryforall.com/TheShow/Synopsis.php)

I'd say go for it, but don't expect too much of it, just enjoy it and you'll be good. I did just go out and buy S2 as I totally HAD to know what happened after the cliff-hanger, so there must be something to it. :)

Sanctuary, yay! \o/ I hated that they killed Ashley, though. :( Kate got on my nerves at the start but she got better as time goes on (or I got used to her, one or the other ;) ).

Argh, I hate it when they country-block things like that! Why would they NOT want to promote their show in every part of the world that was interested in it? Grrrr! Anyway, I took some screencaps so you can see what it looks like in there. ;)

Here's what it looks like as it loads up. There are 13 "missions" you can take.

The first one starts with Will explaining that "I" (aka the player) will need to guide this abnormal to a rendezvous with MI6 agents who'll take her to safety while avoiding Cabal operatives.

She's the A on the screen. Up in the corner, we get first-person style running along the street footage and then occasional "Help me, which way am I supposed to go?" video from her. When you come to an intersection, arrows pop up on either side of the A that you use to choose her direction.

Henry pops up to tell you that Cabal agents are in your vicinity and you have to choose to run away (which reverses your direction) or to use a diversion (which throws a smoke bomb and lets you keep going in that direction).

When you get her nabbed by the Cabal (oops *blush* ;) ), you get this message.

But when you succeed, you get congratulated by Helen, yay! \o/ Then you can go to the next mission.

It's definitely cute and worth checking out if you possibly can! (Have you tried another proxy besides the Hide one? I don't know much about proxies so maybe they all work the same, though. :S )

So sorry that you can't just hop over there and check it out properly but hopefully this at least gives you a little peek into it. ;) *hugs* ♥!

Aww, you rock! Thanks, hon. :D

I can get to www.sanctuaryandbeyond.ca/ (the first screencap you put up) using a proxy, but then if you click the links from there the proxy can't manage it. They're encrypted or something.

Anyway, I was really just curious, so thanks so much. It reminds me a little of the Kyle XY site they had (which I could get into without any proxy). They had training missions and stuff too.

Maybe they'll let us in eventually. They haven't played S2 on the tv here yet, but the DVDs did just come out, which is how I'm watching the eps. I think they usually release the web stuff as the TV stations catch up. Who knows?

*hugs*
