Okay, someone who has read the books, answer me this.
Why would anyone pick the weedy, pale, emo, vampire over the six-pack-endowed, smiley, beautiful dude, who runs with a pack of other six-pack-endowed, smiley, beautiful dudes (with only pants on), and turns into a pretty, pettable and protective (*swoon*) wolf? *hands* Seriously, Jacob is the only reason to watch that movie.
Oh and Christopher Heyerdahl only has like two lines in a breathy smokers voice. I wonder if he has more to do in the next one? :(
I guess you have to have read the books to get these movies or something. Maybe? Eh.

Heading out to see a friend's new baby boy soon. :)

*Christopher Heyerdahl squee!* I know him from Sanctuary *points to bald guy on left in my icon* but he was a baddie on SPN, wasn't he? Anyway, I hope he does have a lot more to do in the next movie! *crosses fingers* ;)

There's stuff in the third book that makes me understand Bella's choice more although it's never flat-out explained. It just seems to be that if you have read the books you tend to be Team Edward but if you've seen the movies you're Team Jacob or something... I'm sure that's a gross rationalisation that isn't actually true outside of the friends I've had who have done either or... :)
Also, I'm sure most of us have been guilty of not picking the boy that was right for us. Jacob is kind of the best friend that does everything for you and always had a crush while you're in love with the boy that doesn't pay you any attention.
Ugh, I've thought about this to much. I think my brain is turning to mush. *pokes it*

Well it isn't like while reading you had the visuals the movie provides... I mean, it would depend on your imagination. I get the impression that Edward is described in a way that makes him more sexy in the books. Where I don't actually find the actor very attractive.

But then I would NEVER be persuaded to watch the movies, unless it was unanimously chosen during a chick flick night with friends (actually I wouldn't be unaimously since I wouldn't have voted for it). Oh wait, hang on. I hate most chick flicks as well. Oh dear oh dear....

We're easily brought into anything just because we like to be social. :)
I can't say I'd recommend the second one even for the hopeless romantics. Eh.
