It's just that by coincidence my last post on my journal was precisely about people watching a couple of episodes of Dollhouse and then being all "I can't get a handle on this creepy show", and I ended up being lazy and channeling that in my comment.
But! The show does have a definite ending. The mythical season one, episode 13, set years in the future and found only on dvd (and, well, you know, around). As far as endings go, it is pretty definite. I personally found it rather satisfying, but as for answering questions your mileage may vary (they set up more than a few "how did it get to that?" storylines, but then if it didn't there wouldn't be much point continuing the series, right?) And, having seen that, I can say that I'm seeing a lot of details in season two working to build that future we glimpsed in that episode.
