Spooky and disturbing, SGA, R:
OK this one was a halloween fic. Contains character death and well lets just say that while there's no smut or violence per se, there is character death and it's rated R for adult content. *cough* Think Silence of the Lambs. Still game? wander over to it here:

Gen, BSG/Firefly, Teen:
Oh and this one is a firefly/BSG crossover. (Not my ususal SGA rec) It sounds like it could never work as a crossover, but she gets the voices totally right and much to my astonishment, totally makes the thing work. Yep, basically it's set in the BSG universe during the time when Apollo and the President are hiding out in the fleet, after escaping from Gallactica... and they hide out on Serenity ...a ship which has sort of snuck into the fleet unnoticed. GO read it, it's actually very good.

*g* Lucky you. I had no clue - in fact, because of the way I read (when doing it really quickly, I tend to skip descriptions a bit), I didn't realise first time through! It wasn't until I read the reviews and read it again that I realised.
Which was when the tummy clenching and desire to run to the toilet and chuck appeared.
