I handed in my corrected thesis yesterday. Graduation is in December, but for all intensive purposes I am now Dr Starrylizard. Yay!

So to celebrate, I have uploaded a new LJ banner!

Congratulations - that is fabulous, as is your banner. But why only the tenth doctor?

For some reason when I became doctored I never thought of Doctor Who. I was all Indiana, as in 'Dr Jones'.

Thank you! :D

But why only the tenth doctor?
Um, no reason really. I've been RPing as him, so he's on my brain and I had screen caps handy. I could have done Dr Rodney McKay or Dr Jones or Dr Jekyll or something... heh, maybe next time! So many fandoms, so little time! :P

Ooh, ooh, when you do a 'Dr' banner add Dr Daniel Jackson, please. And make me some 'Dr' icons! *smiles sweetly*

Hehehehe! Can do! I can make a Dr post and we can do the Chevy Chase thing... you know. "Dr" Shakes hand, other guy replies "Dr" and it keeps going "Dr," Dr," etc. lol.

Ah, but by the time your PhD is conferred I may be ordained, so I'll be Rev. Dr. (Which is just bizarre and freaks me out.)

Um, well... your icon looks very reverend-ly... kinda hard for me to answer that! lol

Yes, realised that, given you've never actually met me. But trust me on this - for the past few months we've had one of my four churches open when the local Farmers' Market's been on to serve tea and coffee, and every time I've been chatting away to someone who's then asked me, "Who's your minister?" Or said to the man standing next to me (Chairperson of the congregation): "Are you the minister?" Society's idea of what a minister looks like doesn't seem to include women in their thirties in jeans and woolly jumpers. Maybe it'll improve when I get to occasionally wear a collar like my iconic 'Pastor Sam'?

I'm sorry, but what a minister looks like doesn't seem to include women in their thirties in jeans and woolly jumpers ...my brain just went all Vicar of Dibly on me! Especially with the Farmer's market comments.

*hugs* I'm sure you're more than the part. I mean, for me (and yeah I'm not really religious as such) being a minister is all about caring for the people around you and you WIN in that category... even over the interwebs! :)

Well, when trying to explain my life to people I do say that the Vicar of Dibley is a documentary rather than a commentary. Sadly, with less of a love-life than Geraldine has. (When's Richard Armitage coming?)
