Yay, I sent off my latest job application. :)
Time to rec some fic, because it makes me happy!

Corpse Fire by [livejournal.com profile] dani_ellie
Summary: With the frigid wind whipping through the trees and an air temperature a few degrees below freezing, a little kid in a thinning coat and no gloves didn’t stand a chance. (Pre-series, gen, PG-13, rated mostly for language and children in danger, complete.)

This is a nicely thought out case, with good John and Wee!chester characterisation. I always like a pre-season fic where John, though tough, is actually a loving parent. This fic has all those elements, along with a good dollop of suspense and h/c and I really enjoyed it!

----
The Magnificent Here and Now by [livejournal.com profile] kimonkey7 (PG-13 for language, gen)
Summary: A gig outside of Tuscon has Sam being stubborn, and Dean…dancing.

Really, the summary says it all. This had me giggling happily with the mental imagery...not to mention the lovely drawings at the end too. Unfortunately she has comments turned off, so we can't give her some comment love, but the fic is made of awesome!

The drop that makes it run over by [livejournal.com profile] rinkle (PG-13, Gen, pre-series, Bobby POV, 9057 words)
Summary: When Bobby Singer first met Sammy and Dean Winchester, he didn't even know that John had kids. A look at Bobby's relationship with the Winchesters over seven time periods. Includes an extended version of the events in one of my other fics, "Hell Spawn".

A great look at how Bobby's relationship with the Winchester's may have developed over time, from his first meeting with Sam and Dean (my fave bit) to the events leading up to driving John off with a shotgun. Very plausible and lovely Bobby POV. And, yes I did beta this, but I'm still aloud to pimp it! :)

Go read and give the authors some love.

I think I started reading Corpse Fire ages ago...and then either lost the link or stopped for some reason, so I've reopened it to read. I haven't even bookmarked it at any point.

I read both Corpse Fire and The Magnificent Here and Now as they were posted and can massively second the recs. Looking forward to reading the third; I've come to trust your recs.

And congrats on the job application!
