Woot! I have converted my friend to SGA at last! *evil laughter*

Earlier this same friend held me to ransom...she would give me the episodes of SGA her bro downloaded, but only if I watched the first season of BSG first, because she's addicted and had no one to talk about it with. Of course I agreed and I'm now addicted to BSG too!

Anyway, she finally caved and agreed to watch some SGA, but she'd *shock horror* deleted them from her computer...so I lent her the boxset. CONVERTED!! Wooo! We watched three more episodes yesterday!
She used to tease me about my Rodney (and various other character) desktop backgrounds, but now she understands why he rocks so much. Even agrees that he's way better than Shep!

I can do that...SG1, Atlantis or BSG. I don't have any xfiles on hand these days. Though I could hire some and I bought the Peacekeeper wars, but haven't watched it yet. Where do I go to find it? Not quite sure what it is see..

well, I'm in Florida, so that's where I'll be having my marathon, and you're more than welcome to come join me here, but if you can't then where ever you decide to have it :D just choose at least 3 episodes from one of those shows and watch them consecutively and then post either to your LJ or as a comment to my LJ where I'll list what episdoes we've watched which ones you watched and why you chose those :) a day or two before I might post a tentative list of episodes that we're going to watch and of which tv show they're going to be so people can join in with the same episodes if they want and that'll be even spiffily funner, but it'll also be superspiffily fun if people choose whichever episodes of those shows they want and then get to tell me why they chose those over the rest of them :D hee! I love birthdays! it makes me sad that as you get older, you celebrate your birthday less and less. And I don't think I'm going to do that. Birthday parties are fun! [and they ensure you get presents;)]

and on that note, I need to get to bed cause I need to wake up in 4.5 hours! LOL :D it's 3:30 am here and I need to wake up at 8!

Sleep well. It sounds like you're gonna be very tired tomorrow morning. I'm still marvelling at the fact that I met an SGA fan via a science community, but *shrugs* it's sort of cute! It seems many of us scientists are both internet savvy and scifi addicted. *grin*

hee! it's fun! :D that's the type of scifi I like. I mean, 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 [even though I'm sure I spelled that incorrectly] were good books, but really don't fall under my definition of scifi...I like the type that really can be possible. I mean, there really could be a stargate, and if there was one, it's definitely something the government would keep a secret! so it's entirely possible that the air force has a special section that goes on missions to other planets and galaxies and everything...and who's to say that there aren't 2 FBI agents investigating paranormal/unsolved cases? and why can't there be a space shuttle that goes missing and that no one can find because it was flung into a distant part of the galaxy and ended up in the uncharted territories...

and I like present-day ones better than futuristic ones liek firefly, though, firefly is indeed very spiffy!

okay, I'm really going to stop playing on LJ now and go to sleep. and hopefully be able to wake up on 4 hours of sleep. eep!

...but LJ is so much fun!...
