Hey, people have to watch this!! I saw this preview and it's so funny. Go to http://www2.warnerbros.com/happyfeet/ and click on the preview button and watch it. Hilarious! Many dancing, hugging, cute penguins!
On that note, may I ask if someone would explain to me the penguin references going around the Stargate fandom of late. I keep seeing them, but no one is explaining the joke and I'm so utterly curious now! Please!
I finally went to see Harry Potter today, which was awesome. I loved the dragon and yeah it's been a fair while since I read the book. OMG! It was a great movie! *squee* Oh and Sushie...I want that icon you have now. I finally get your slashy comments and bow to your weirdly-formed brain (*cough* That's a compliment...really!). I think the icon I'm referring to said something like "down bitch!" :P
Wasn't Cedric just cute as a button!
Oh and I watched the latest Atlantis last night. Not really worth reviewing it, since I found it all rather predictable. I mean once you take into account that the main characters aren't very likely to all just up and die. A few things though:
1. Carson in scrubs *squee* - Am I the only one that finds that really hot!
(Off topic *squee*: God and that first scene in Scanners II where David Hewlett has scrubs and a mask and you can just see his beautiful eyes...*sighs*)
2. What's with Teyla's outfit? Either wardrobe has discovered they can't make her skirt and midriff top any shorter or she picked up dress tips from the "Lost Boys". It screamed Tinker Bell to me and I have no idea why...
3. McKay: It's not really stealing...
Shep: ...It's recovering
I am so remembering that line for future reference.
4. Wasn't Lorne just the cutest in this episode...even though he only got a couple of lines. *grin* ...and put your hands up if you were surprised that he wasn't dead...no takers?
5. Did it seem weird to anyone else that Weir knew Lorne wasn't dead, but didn't bother to inform Shep??
6. Weir: Good thinking
Shep: Could've been MENSA.
Ha! I love how they keep throwing that in!
7. Shep: Lt Colonel errand boy to you! *giggle fit*
8. ...and the whole Teyla/Ronan = Good cop/bad cop routine to make the barman talk...that was really working for me. I'm finally starting to appreciate Ronan. Oh and I so want an icon with that...any takers, or should I make it? (Good cop/Bad cop I mean)

The penguin thing has been around a while. Last year Leah (I don't recall her username) wrote a story for Peg B about McKay and Sheppard being turned into Penguins. Then someone else wrote a mainstream SGA Penguin story about the two of them turning into penguins. (Both stories are really cute, the first one is archived at the Pegasus_B com, the second is no longer on line, but I have the text file, so email me if you want it).
From there people started writing silly SGA penguin stories, and associated penguins with John and Rodney. There are some really cute stories out there (one was a flashfic, but I can't recall which challenge, or the story). You could ask around. I'm sure someone else knows.
This probably isn't the whole story, but it's all I know. :-)

Yay, I love your icons! I've got the perfect idea for an icon for you for that clip meme thing, but I have to find the right clips :D I made the one for Mist, but it doesn't quite look like I had imagined it :(
