Hehehe!
"The books are coming" cried Rinne. "Run god damn you. They want us to buy forensics non-fiction."
"Ah what?", was Inge's bewildered response, until she spotted them in the distance. The books, they were coming for them. Their hardback covers opening menacingly, a hissing noise emanating from the pages.
ooooh I watched that the other night. (NCIS) I missed the first little bit, but it was rather good. They had some nice one-liners and there's some cute actors there too. I'll have to watch some more. :D

The hissing got louder, clearer, until they heard the words, "BUY ME!"
"Run!" Rinne shouted. "Run, before you have no money and shelf space left!"
I'm sitting here, giggling (which I definitely need about now, damn computer problems, I'm writing an LJ entry about them at the moment).
Yay!!! It does have fantastic one liners. I forgot to record that ep, I've been trying to get the reruns on tape, but keep on forgetting. I love Tony. Yes, he's an idiot, yes he's a chauvinist pig that will chase anything in a skirt, but I really don't care! There's actually a lot of depth to him. Plus, he's really cute. And Gibbs is the bestest!!

Inge ran for her life, quickly overtaking Rinne in her horror. She needed more books like she needed a whole in the head, which is to say she didn't need them at all. Her shelves were packed up to three books deep and it was depressing to think how long it would take her to read them all.
"Come on Rinne, keep up", she yelled. "If they corner us in the forensics section, we'll never get out; at least not until we can name at least three larval stages of maggot and recite our understanding of the fluid dynamics of blood spatter patterns."
Inge looked back to see that it was too late. Her wide eyes filled with horror, she watched Rinne go down. One of the books had its pages wrapped around her leg and it was pulling her in...
Is Tony the one who had to give his beloved sunglasses to the kid he was protecting? He seemed cute! ...and Gibbs is the somewhat hot-in-a-father-figure-type-of-way one yeah? The women all had spunk too. I like shows where the women aren't whoosy, but can hold their own and even surpass their male counterparts.

"No!!!!" Rinne screamed. "I can't afford you! Inge, help!!!"
Her hands scrabbled against the carpet, trying to find a purchase. "Not that kind of purchase," she yelled, when a book jumped under her hand, forcing her to hold it.
Thank you, you've now reminded me what the ep was about. Yep, that's poor Tony. I think there was a scene in the bathroom with him and Kate that was great.
Yep, that's definitely Gibbs.

Inge was nearly to the Chapters bookstore exit. SHe took a moment to look at it longingly, before turning back to attempt to help her friend. SHe scrabbled around to find a weapon. She thought longingly of a nice P90, but settling instead on a bottle of water from the instore cafe.
"Back, back you literary fiends!", she cried, uncapping the bottle and waving it wildly over her head. "release her, or I shall dampen your pages, and make them stick together...". She paused to hopefully increase the drama of the situation. "... or possibly even cause irreparable ink leakage..."
Thank you, you've now reminded me what the ep was about.
Glad to be of service mam. *bows*
Eeek just went to aerobics...went to two classes in a row yesterday...*dies* I oficially name by best friend a gym addict and complete gym psycho. SHe will be the death of me. *collapses dramatically*

*giggles ridiculously*
Rinne panted, waiting for the books clamouring around her to stop. They stilled in fright, and she thought she might finally be freed.
She threw the book in her hand away, ignoring its 'yip' as it hit a shelf and fell to the floor, spine broken. The other books watched her action, before turning to watch Inge again. Their spines stiffened with new fortitude, and before Rinne had a chance to get up, they pounced.
*offers bottle of water, as you might want to keep the other one for the books*
I'm a non-exercise junkie. Although I really should do something soon, before my knees start acting up again.

Inge moved to splash the water on the books, but was stopped by the voice of an irate shopkeeper. "If you damage them, you'll have to pay for them", the man yelled. Since that was what she was trying to prevent, she recapped the bottle with a sigh and looked around for another weapon.
"Damn", she cursed; watching her friend go under again.
Ok time for a little martial arts. Inge was suddenly glad of the many BodyCombat classes she'd been forced to attend with her crazy fitness junkie friends. She let free with a sidekick at the nearest book and grinned happily as it hit the wall with a thud, before moving to hit another with a roundhouse kick and a succession of punches. She could see Rinne again now...but there were so many books!
(HAHA! I am such a a Mary Sue! :p)

If your knees are bad, don't do several classes of high impact aerobics...they hurt afterward. *nods sagely*

Seeing Inge succeed with her unorthodox tactics, Rinne started hitting the books that were attacking. All was going well, until the Macquarie Dictionary and Thesaurus hit her in the chest, knocking her back to the floor. She pondered the irony of being attacked by a product of her university, until an atlas knocked her out.
(Nothing wrong with being a Mary Sue! I'm being a little melodramatic, you're allowed to be a Mary Sue!)
My knees aren't bad as such, the muscles in the back of my legs tighten up if I don't do enough exercise, and cause pains in the back of my knees.

As Rinne went down, knocked out cold, Inge cried out: "Nooo Rinne!". That was when things suddenly changed slightly. The other books suddenly turned on the Atlas. Atlas had gone too far and now they would have to wait for the customer to come around before she would be able to buy anything. The swarm of books covered the Atlas so completely that she could no longer see what was happening, but the bits of torn pages coming from the group didn't bode well.
Luckily, with this sudden turn of events, Rinne was now out in the open. Inge bent down and shook her urgently and none to gently, all the time keeping a wary eye on the ravenous books. A piece of South East Asia gently floated to her feet.
"Wake up Rinne. We've got to get out of here. They'll come for me next."

Doesn't sound nice. *Wills you to go for a nice long walk today...and remember an umbrella*

Rinne stirred as Inge shook her, coming fully conscious when she saw the bits of paper all around her. She stared in shock at the cannibalistic books, before letting Inge help her to her feet. They backed away slowly from the books, not wanting to provoke them.

He he he. It's kinda hot is the only problem.
