Just ignore us... we're being silly!

[livejournal.com profile] yokiem and I were being silly and came up with a new summary for my latest vid gethsemane... [Should be read in a pompous voice, a sour expression, much eyebrow action and head wobbling. Or read it as a gospel preacher...that cracks me up too.]

An intensely beautiful character study in which one man, Sam Winchester, struggles with his inner demons, his tragic past and future fate. Should he look to god for redemption or is he already in the sway of the darker forces? Why should he die? Must he end his life in order to save his brother, Dean? For surely if he doesn't, his brother may have to kill him and this would surely destroy his own soul in the process. Never has there been a vid with more angst, painful expression and the odd bit of wicked beat use. Don't miss this masterpiece!

*giggles and runs away*

Because I'm an incorrigble pisstake, here's a review of your "Boys Will Be Boys" vid - a masterpiece of angst!

Starrylizard is a virtuoso of vidding who seems to particularly excel in creating gut-wrenching, soul-aching masterpiece angst vids. "Boys Will Be Boys" is probably her crowning achivement in this field. It clearly and evocatively illustrates the tragedy of two young men who were forced to grow up too fast by a tyrannical and abusive patriach, leaving their innocence behind for a life of endless pain and fear. Trying to escape their terrible destiny, they embark on a series of childish pranks against each other in an attempt to reclaim their lost boyhood. Tragically, the abusiveness of their "prank war" escalates, destroying their brotherhood and sending both into a downward spiral of mutual loathing and despair. Starrylizard weaves this epic tale of abuse and betrayal to a harsh, overtly masculine musical piece which is precisely the kind of music sadly lacking in the soundtrack of the source material. Because ultimately boys will be boys, but these two boys are far too broken to cope with their lives and hence darkness is their only destiny.

Whatcha reckon? ;-P

Fave bit: "tyrannical and abusive patriach"
I love the word tyrannical!

Those poor boys. I know, the whole this is just heart-wrenching and to think that you got so much out of my vid. I'm honoured by your kind review. Thank you so much!
