* 2 nights
* 3mins of vid down
* 1min of vid to go
* 3 computer crashes recorded
* I think this is fun!

* currently writing 5 fics
* have promised 2 more that I haven't started

* *cough* Has anyone seen the promo vid for [profile] artword? Just wondering whether you think I could get away without writing anything too smutty? Like, I'm writing a follow-up to "memory in a touch" for it, but I want to do that thing where they just wake up the enxt morning or whatever. I think the vid fills in the blanks anyway. Opinions?

Oh and one more question please. *grin*
When I play back your movies or most other peoples, they play with a black band top and bottom (same as the episodes), but when I play mine, it takes up the whole screen. I think it's stretching it out a bit to do that. Did you do something to make your vids the size they are? Is there a box you tick or something? (I'm saving as large...could that be it?)
Thanks Derry

You are probably right about the stretching. WMM has a default "aspect ratio" of 4:3. You need to change it to 16:9 which are the vid dimensions most clips come in (the HDTV widescreen).

Click on "tools", then select "options", then select "advanced" and then it gives you option of which aspect ratio you want 4:3 or 16:9.

You want 16:9 for most of the clips that are downloaded, but you have to watch out because there *are* some clips out there in 4:3 and if you get a mix of the two different aspect ratios, it can look weird. (mind you "weird" can work - I used both aspect ratios in "I Can't Wait" because I only had the promo clips in 4:3).

Good luck!

Thanks! I'm sure it would have taken me forever to find that little box to check. It looks much better that way. :D *high fives you*
