My back has been killing me, especially my neck and shoulders, because I sit still too often and I hunch over my laptop etc. I asked about it today, because ouch pain! and was provided with a cordless keyboard and mouse and a laptop stand. SWEET! This is so much better!

I also bought a book yesterday about backpain and how to avoid it, which gives some simple tips for people that work at computers a lot (among other things). I can post some of them a bit later if anyone is interested.

My work was always in the lab, which has it's own set of issues for backs and not to mention pipetting RSI, but now that I'm trying to write up my theseis I'm always in front of the computer. Then I play online at home too. So yeah, same with me.

I'll read a bit more and put down the exercises that look the most useful. The guy says you can do them while waiting for the kettle to boil or brushing your teeth. He also says walking is one of the best things you can do for your back.
