OK, so in September I went to a conference in Nashville. It was really heaps of fun, but I don't think I would have written about it because it was before I opened this account. Anyway, I'd never really been to America before ...maybe tip-toed over the border when i was in Canada once or twice, but not really...and certainly never in the deep South as they say. Anyway, at one point, well actually at several points, during the week, my friend and I went bar-hopping. It's an experience! All these funny little bars, with cowboys singing Country and Western tunes. I didn't get to do any line-dancing unfortunately, but my friend managed it. *frowny face*
Anyway, on this particular bar-hopping afternoon, we met a cowboy who offered to show us some more bars. So off we went. Not something I would usually do, but my friend is a nutter. She also asked and then posed with some big mean looking guys on Harley Davidsons. Crazy! But anyway, we ended up in a Coyote Ugly! Yes, like in the movies! It wasn't busy though, since it was in the afternoon. Oh and I was kinda drunk by this point, since I had only just realised that 'light beer' in the US has a different meaning to here in Oz. Her it means light on alcohol, but over there it refers to the taste or something, so yeah I was pretty happy by this point.
So my friend starts bugging the Coyote behind the bar, because she wants her to dance like in the movie...and the lady is like, how about you get up on the bar and pose with me for photos instead ...and we did! Anyway, just got the photos back from my friend today and they're fracking hilarious. We're posing on the bar all sexy and pretending to kiss the Coyote! She was telling us that our accent was sexy and if we ever wanted a job to be in touch. *giggles* The outrageous things you do, huh! Oh and yes, they do have a string up that women toss their bras onto. The cowboy that was giving us the tour said that the women who threw their bras up their, generally weren't the sorts he'd want to go near though. He was like "Whoa! They should leave 'em on". :p
Oh and in Nashville, Tennessee, they actually say "Ye all come back now!" as you leave a store. How cute is that? *sigh* Ah the memories!

These things just happen.
I'll make a deal, you share your pictures, I'll share mine. (I only have one but it's rather humorous)
