I'm rewatching Fringe

I forgot how much I love this show, especially the early seasons. Such nonsense. Such fun. :D
I love Olivia and the Bishops so much... and early Charlie was the best Charlie. I'm well into S2 now, Peter just found out where he's from. Dun dun dun.


In other unrelated, non-TV thoughts - anyone got any tips on figuring out what employment one might be good at, or want to move into later in life?
I'm a tad stumped. Thoughts welcome.
I was seriously considering moving, and it's not fully ruled out, but today I came to the realisation that I don't think I like this job enough anymore to actually want to remain in it, let alone move just to do so.

If you figure it out, let me know. After a few more years in uni, I went back to law cos the alternate field I picked was just a tad *too* hard to get into cutting working hours down to a level where I wouldn't be able to support myself. And yeah, my grades just weren't good enough... at least not for Melb Uni. Should probably look into other unis, but then I've moved overseas and that got put onto the back-burner.

I know what you mean. I've got used to the money this job gets, which equates to freedom to finally do some travel now and follow hobbies on the weekend etc. Plus after doing a PhD I can't stand the idea of more serious study. I'm looking for something my current skills might work for, but my mind is a bit blank on what that could be. Probably my best very is to do a similar job in a different agency. Change being as good as a holiday etc. Hmm.

I was impressed at how quickly you moved overseas when you decided to btw. You're a decisive one. It's a trait I need more of.

Oh trust me, it wasn't that quick. I had been on my mind for about 5+ years before I was in a position to do it and it had to be quick cos there was a deadline on my visa.

If only I could do it just 2-3 years earlier I could've gotten the skilled visa equivalent instead of having to get my Aus citizenship, then the working holiday visa, then having an employer sponsor me.

I had been ready to go for literally years, but the fact that my sisters were still in uni and I was helping my parents support them by letting them stay with me basically meant I was tied down until they finished. So yeah, once they were done, I was outta there! :P
