Hey SPN fandom... where are you?

I'm wandering through all the SPN communities I'm a member of and I'm saddened to find they are almost all dead. There's just crickets and the echo of happier days. (Though I am happy they're still up as an archive.)

Can anyone point me to where SPN fandom is still alive? Has it moved to Dreamwidth? Is it hiding in a few communities I am not a member of or haven't flittered into yet? In particular are there any:
- writing communities open to fact-finding or collating of information for SPN writers,
- general discussion communities,
- busy fic communities?

I'm almost regretting popping in. It's like the party is over and I'm sitting here eating the cake alone. It's very good cake though. :(

SPN people come friend me. :P

(Me: I'm mostly a gen girl, but I don't mind mixed communities and I will read the odd bit of het and slash. I don't do the Wincest/J2 thing, but it won't stop me talking to you if you don't mind that I don't go there. I'm currently re-watching my DVDs. Just hit Season 4!)

There's a lot more fandom activity on tumblr and twitter. Took me a while to get used to it, but tumblr has some fantastic gifs and even the meta seems to be moving over there. It can be a wankfeast if not careful, so you have to be careful about who you follow.

Twitter can be fun too. :)

I do have a twitter account (I think we're friends. I'll have to check.), but I got so bored by people posting about their lunch etc. I can try again. Starrylizards is my username, I think.

I also have a tumblr (I wince every time I have to spell that), but I don't really get it. How do people talk toe each other there? I'm starrylizard there too by the way.

Oh yes, I think we are! I'm not on there an awful lot, but sometimes I go over and check out all the stuff. The thing is, is to follow SPN folks. There are some dedicated twitter accounts for JUST spn stuff.

Tumblr is super werid. I have no idea how people talk to each other. I figure they do but mostly it's about looking at pretty things. I also use it as my ranting space (sometimes). People can comment back it's pretty messy. I don't like it for conversations at all. But I love it for seeing how the fandom sees the show. Gifs are like mini metas sometimes and it's fascinating to see the connections people make. I also like it to gage what fandom is doing . It takes a bit of searching though and it's time consuming.

Hiiii. I really enjoyed your most recent SPN fic, and lately I've been trying to take initiative and friend cool SPN people to keep my flist lovely and active (because I will be honest, other social networks make me cry, aha). Do you mind if I friend you?? :D
