spn_bigpretzel drabble every weekend challenge for the prompts Dean and medicine.
John pushed too hard. Bone-weary turned to scratchy throat and his mutinous body forced a stop.
He woke to giggling. Cracked his eyes open to find Dean, who promptly popped back down beside the bed and out of John’s sight.
A delighted squeal from the other side of the bed came from Sammy, clutching at the sheets in order to hold himself upright, smiling at his brother’s antics.
“Look, Dad. He’s standing. He was trying to get up to you and he pulled himself right up.”
John huffed a surprised laugh and settled to watch their antics; feeling better already.
