Audacity help

Um, so Audacity used to work fine. I'd just play whatever and it recorded it. Now I've set it up again on my newly rebooted computer and it doesn't appear to be picking up anything from my microphone or going through the speakers.

What basic setting am I missing guys? There must be something I have to turn on for it to work that I haven't found this time as yet. O_o
