Okay, so my dad is overseas and we've been talking via email and I just have to say that -

"I can't believe that there is a journal called "bone". It sounds like a pornographic magazine!"

- is just not something you ever want to hear your seemingly straight-laced father say...ever! Especially when you were proudly telling him about a paper that has just been published. Considering some of the fic I have written (which he obviously knows nothing about), it just made me spit tea.

See, I wouldn't be surprised if my dad or mum said that. But then again, they know all about my sis and my fanfic writing.

Don't get me wrong. My dad has a very warped and strange sense of humour at times, which is where I get my very odd sense of humour. It's just this is written down and took me off gaurd, as it's fairly forward for him.

As for the fanfic, well yeah...so wouldn't show him! He'd be a tad shocked by what his little girl is writing.

Admittedly, if me or my sis had written slash, we wouldn't show that to our parents. Although, my sis has written femmeslash.

As of yesterday I can say I have written and posted het, gen, slash, femmeslash and *cough* porn. hee! Does that make me insane on some level? Don't answer that!
