A question for the fellow Australians out there. I've decided to look more seriously for a new place.

I know last time I was looking to rent there were a few good sites online that you could register with and then they emailed you the search results each day.

I just found www.domain.com.au, but I know there were a few that were better than that one. Can anyone point me to them? Google is failing me today and I can't remember the site names for the life of me. *scratches head*

Or...dare I ask. Anyone in the Northern suburbs (Chatswood, Artarmon, St Leonards, Woolstonecraft, Nth Sydney, yadda yadda... etc.) of Sydney looking for a fairly quiet twenty-something housemate? Preferably looking for a place with parking and close to trains for under $200 a week, though I could go a bit higher if it's really good.

Hey, it's worth a shot, right!?

http://www.realestate.com.au/

That's the one I kept going back to look at - it has most of the different agents on there. Where I eventually found the flat.

There's a couple of share house sites out there too (just google share house). And the good old noticeboard.

Good luck. :) Your landlord needs a giant boot up the bum.

I looked through realestate.com.au alot when I was looking.

However, I find nothing really beats just dropping into the RE's in the area you want to rent in and getting a rental listing... I find a lot of the time the website info is out of date on rental properties. (Leased already etc)

Yeah, I usually find places by asking at the RE's too. I just figured I'd start with a search and see what comes up.
Thanks for the site info.
