Hehe I can't write for peanuts. I'm supposed to be studying but having a mini-freakout over my studies.

I just only noticed that your LJ is yellowish - hmm, interesting! I kinda like teh black spacey looking background coz it goes with the header.

Did you abandon flexisquares or is this flexisquares with 3 colunns?

Hee hee hee! My thoughts exactly. Well I was surprised anyway, but happy too! Now I know why they always seem to comment on my fic when I post.

I just don't get flexi squares. Even when I try something simple it hates me. Though this layout wouldn't change colours either and suddenly today it's working, so it may have been the system was being dodgy, rather than my attempts to make it work. Who knows?

Do you like the yellow thing with the background? I'm not sure yet.

I'm sitting here contemplating whether to post this fic and use the smut filter. I did set one up. Seems a shame to waste it and all. :P

Since you're asking... here are my thoughts.

Well, I like yellow as a background and I like black too. But probably if I had the choice for my LJ, I wouldn't mix the two because the contrast is too much.

I think that if you'd like to stick to your current header, which is kinda darkish, then the yellow should be darker? But that would mean that your font should be lighter!

I actually take a long time to get my LJ colours because I sit around for a couple of hours and do a zillion different combos before I decide that I like something!

Mind you, this is what I think when I do my LJ and doesn't necessarily apply to yours. I always try to match my header to my background. So when I used to have navy blue, all my headers had darkish sort of colours, but now that I'm a lemon, well, I decided to give all my headers a yellowish tinge, though I hope not too jaundiced looking!

Thanks! It's on Tuesday and I'm in front of the computer (which isn't necessarily the best thing). I have this habit of working at night and sleeping during the day. The good news is that I haven't been at work all week! I feel more relaxed but sadly I haven't done any exercise either, being holed up in my room all day!

Fair enough points. I actually ask, because I don't like the colour too much against the background either. I'll have another crack at fixing it up soon now that it seems LJ will allow me to change them.

I'm actually planning to change my header soon, so I might look at the colours that are in that one and plan it around that. I'm really not very good at matching colours and such. Lucky I never tried to do a fashion course or anything. :p

Oh I'm glad you got your break from work. I work best at night too. I always thought it was partly that I was too tired to stress or maybe it was just nice and quiet. I'll think brainy vibes again for you on Tues. :D
