*Does Austin Powers impersonation* "Help I'm trapped in a nut shell!"
I had such a great weekend.
I helped
rinkle with the ficathon entries on Saturday. "Helped" meaning annoyed, gave emotional support and generally distracted her, so it took ten times longer than it should.
I then went into Kings Cross to have dinner at a cute Japanese place with Yokiem and other work friends. The food was great and so was the company!
Sunday, I went to see Xmen III with
rinkle, Yokiem,
derry667 and
mcalex22 (See who says you don't meet super cool people on LJ?) and then we had lunch that almost turned into dinner. (ie. we were there from about 2 until 5:30 just chatting.)
Xmen III wasn't super amazing, but defininately action-packed and I enjoyed it. It was about what I expected though the various deaths and power zappings were unexpected. I can see why that could piss off some fans, but they of course left it all open at the end.
Stay for the weird scene after the credits.
Lunch was super nice. I love how we can all just sit and chat and chat and chat. It just rocks! Thanks guys. Oh and Alex, any time you wanna do the crappy film thing is fine by me. Just send me a date and I'll keep it open. We could watch some good movies too of course, but you'll probably be scared by how much fun I can get out of berating the bad movies. *big grin* ...and I do wanna see Darklight, just because it sounds so damn bad! I'm a sucker for punishment.
Today I also visited a GP and got poked. Ouch! At least this lady knew what she was doing and got the blood in one. I have had much worse experiences before. Of course it reminded me why I avoid doctors to the extent that I have only been two or three times in almost 4 years. :p
Between the doctors appointment and the morning being taken up by a fire alarm...OMG! The firemen were actually real hotties! ...and birthday cake and celebrations, I have really done very little today. I should be working now. So yeah. I choose to end this LJ post now.
