Yet another meme gakked from Minnow, because I'm sitting here trawling her journal like an evil lurker thing...

SGA:
1) The character I first fell in love with - I first fell in love with McKay and maybe Weir at the same time. McKay for his gorgeous ramblings and body language and Weir for her eyebrow quirks and just the fact that she was the leader of the team. A strong female lead is generally very sexy and a good role model to me.
2) The character I never expected to love as much as I do now - It's taken me a long while to really get into Sheppard's character. Unlike others, I wasn't immediately attracted to him, but actually found him somewhat annoying. He somehow just didn't work for me in the first few episodes and I was worried that I was going to be cringing lots, but he's really grown on me as the seasons went on. At first I just loved the SHep/McKay banter, but now I like him in his own right. He's developed into a relaxed, but still in control character that I can know what to expect of finally and can pick at the writers when they do something out of character. Also Teyla really irked me at first. It was like she was miss earth-girl perfect, but they never made her into a real character. More recently though, and especially in the second season, I think she's finally rounding into a real character and I really like her.
3) The character everyone else loves that I don't - Um lets think. There was Shep and Teyla at first (see above). I don't love Caldwell, but it's not like everyone else does either. I think I'll say Dex. They got rid of Ford, because they weren't utilizing him, but I don't think they've developed Dex at all. He's still shoot first and grunt later man...really he needs a little more depth! Come on! But I do see them expanding and building on his character a little at present...and I like that in the process they seem to be expanding more on Teyla's character too!
4) The character I love that everyone else hates - Easy! Kavanagh
5) The character I used to love but don't any longer - um no idea. They seem to keep growing on me. Course Grodin dies, but I still love him...I'm stumped there.
6) The character I would shag anytime - *cough* McKay
7) The character I'd want to be like - I wish I could be as eloquent and straight forward as Weir, as intelligent, as turned on by science as McKay and able to snark like McKay (though not at everyone, just when called for) and as calm and logical as Teyla.
8) The character I'd slap - Ronan...though only if several people had my back! :p I just want him to realise that he can think beyond shoot and grunt...please!
9) A pairing that I love - None in the actual show, because the gentle sexual tension is always much more interesting to me. In fandom...I can see merits in most ships. I suppose I'm partial to Teyla/Ronan, Weir/Sheppard...but yeah I'm not actually too fussy! Most of the Weir/SHeppard I read is too mushy for me. I like unusual ships too. If someone can write an unusual ship that makes me go...wow that could really work, that's nice!
10) Not many pairings squick me. I did see a Kavanagh/Sheppard that made me go *squick* and I don't like rape fics or anything icky like that, but I'll read most ships.
