Oh this was fantastic! It so makes me long for the show when it was about the brothers and not this sideshow of OOC Winchesters, wandering plot-lines and myth-arcs that we've had since the start of season 6. It also makes me realize that yeah, this show should have ended after season 5 because since then, they've not been very cohesive in how they (aka, the PTB) have gone about deconstructing the show we used to love.
Or maybe it's just me.
And maybe it's just me but if Dean doesn't get a good myth-arc that lasts more than 3 episodes and if Sam doesn't start showing some give-a-damn for Dean, I'm going to just implode. Next season is make-or-break for me.
