Vidder notes: This vid was very experimental on my part and it was heavily influenced by the official video clip to Santa Maria (Del Buen Ayre)Youtube link. If you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth a look. One of the many reasons I love Sherlock is the beautiful filming. The interesting camera angles, the simply amazing scene changes, the lighting and just the sheer detail that goes into this production. It really is top notch and it made this vid so simple to make. Really Sherlock did the work for me.

Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts. I'm always open to any bit of feedback, whether it be constructive criticism or an emoticon. Thanks for watching! :)

I liked it. It had an old world feel (noir, like you said) and it showcased the show fabulously. You kept the mood consistent with your cutting and I liked the subtle effect of the blocks/lines. I think an instrumental piece is harder to vid and to do it well, so kudos to you. Thanks.

Thanks so much! I always wanted to find a use for those transitions and I just couldn't resist. I'm glad the look and feel worked for you. It was such fun to make! :D

I think the choice of music, plus the smart application of effects really captures the feel of Sherlock's cinematography; it just feels right for the series.

Thank you! It really hit me as a great idea the other night. Like it would just fit. I'm glad it worked out that way, not just in my head. :)

That was beautiful. Definitely not just a music vid. Loved the video experimentation and noir look you did.

I hope my new projects come out as well as this one did.

Hope you do more Ike this...

I really enjoyed this. The way that the show is filmed presents all these off-kilter framing techniques to mimic the way Holmes is seen, and you've got that down perfectly. I loved how you've got Sherlock time and again resisting the framing, even as the people around him try to box in his behavior. It's brilliantly timed with the music, and the scene choices are absolutely perfect. I especially liked that you ended on a scene of London, with a body. To me, that's the closest you can get to Sherlock's actual mindscape.

Thank you so much! I had such a great time playing with the scenes for this, because I could use those wonderful bits that usually don't fit in a vid that tells a traditional story. I'm glad you enjoyed it and got do much from it! :D

I haven't actually watched Sherlock (I know!), but I found this very moody and sexy.

(You should watch Sherlock. It's brilliant! And there's only three episodes in a season, so you'd catch up easily. :D)

How did I miss this?!

Wow! That was awesome. Loved the way you made the characters dance... so tango like. And it most definitely had a noir feel (loved the shot of Sherlock exhaling smoke...). You really used the footage well - matching camera angles and movement.

So excellent hun!

Eeeee! Thank you! I'm glad you like it. :)

It's the one I asked you to beta, but you were interstate and hadn't seen S2 yet, so it would've been easy to miss it.
