I personally cringe and hide every time people try to shift us out from under the rock we all hide under, but nonetheless I like to know what is going on and this sounds pretty important.
The OTW is currently putting forward a submission for a Digital Millenium Copyright Act Exemption and you can have your say here.
Basically these guys won an exemption from prosecution if you rip DVDs etc. for making vids. Now that exemption is up for renewal. For the record, I'm not putting forward comments of my own, but I thought there might be people on my flist interested in this.
