My flisties, you are awesome. Please help a gal out with the following:

1) Is there an Ashes to Ashes icon community?

2) I have recently been forced into a proper smart phone (my old phone was giving me the blue screen of death) and it has a craptastic battery life. I don't make phone calls, occasionally send text messages and I use the internet only to check my email. Does anyone know why the battery life is so craptastic? Is there a solution for it? (Phone is a Samsung Wave.) Do all Smart Phones have this problem?

2) How craptastic is craptastic?

And... sort of? A lot of battery life is drained if you have certain things switched on - GPS, automatic wireless search, bluetooth, other stuff in that vein. I got one a couple of weeks ago and it generally lasts me two days, maybe three, (with quite a lot of surfing), if all of that stuff is switched off. (Is HTC though, not Samsung, and I don't know how much the battery varies between the brands.)

Or it might be a shit battery.

2 days is the maximum. It usually only lasts one day and that's with very little use. I do have the internet turned on, but I don't think it does much except dl my email. I could try turning it off. :(

With smart phones, to be frank, that's probably pretty good. The internet (via the phone network) should be fine if it's not auto searching for wireless (comp). Though, googling, there seem to be a few people with similar issues with the Wave.

I've got an iPhone and I have to charge it every day. Sometimes twice. It's a nightmare. (Although it's a fabulous phone!)

One thing someone did mention to me was to make sure you'd not left the internet browser on an actual website, as they said this can drain the battery. I'm not sure how true that is, but I'd rather not tempt fate!

It's great. And although I loved Ashes more as a show, Life on Mars had more great childhood references for me. Evil Basil Brush anyone?? :D

I loved them both for various reasons, but A2A has the childhood references for me. :)

LOL. My mum wore those big slouchy cuddly jumpers and I loved them. You could wrap yourself up in them and mum all at once. *squishes into happy place*

I really want her zebra-patterned couch. It's atrociously perfect.

I really want her zebra-patterned couch. It's atrociously perfect. </i. Don't know why but the image of you with a flat and zebra-patterned couch... it works!

I know right. I want it. Course I need my own flat first. I am scheming. I think I can put down a deposit on something next year. :)
